Pack Your Bags!

Here are some suggestions for packing for Maui:

Must haves:
- Warm hat for Haleakala National Park (pretty cold)
- At least one long sleeve sweater or hoodie and one pair pants for Haleakala
- Sandals / flip flops, Maui is very casual
- Swim suit - maybe your more athletic suit if you want to do water sports
- Water shoes for adventuring
- Your Maui Revealed book highlighted/tabbed with the things you want to do/see
- Sunblock
- Toothbrush / Toothpaste / Contacts / Glasses
- Prescription medication in the prescription bottle
- Sunglasses
- Activities for plane / beach (book, magazine, ipod/headphones, Kindle, iphone)
- Camera
- Drivers license
- Very casual clothes, sundress is the most fancy thing you may want

Pack if you have room:
- Gloves or scarf for Haleakala National Park (pretty cold)
- Binoculars
- Hat to shield your head from the sun
- Water bottle so that you can prepare a mixed drink for the beach
- Walking shoes if you want to go hiking, running, extensive walking
- A casual bag to take to the beach (to put your book, sunblock, water bottle)
- Waterproof disposable camera

Do not pack:
- Passport - we will not be going outside the country.
- Lots of cash - there are ATMs everywhere
- Towels - the resorts have towels for you
- Shampoo / Conditioner / Soaps - the hotels have these things
- Hair dryer - the hotel has one and you're on vacation so let loose!
- Snorkel gear - very cheap to rent in Maui
- Insurance (you won't need it to rent the car)
- Dress clothes - Maui is very casual
- Laptop - there is wireless everywhere so you can access your emails on your phone
- Lots of food - we will go to grocery store when we get there
- Any cares, worries, or thoughts about work

Before you leave:
- Activate the auto-reply on your email
- Tell your co-workers you won't have access to email/phone (even though you will)
- Tell the pets that you may not return from paradise, so it was nice knowing them
